Tuesday morning and
the sun shines on the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean at the harbor of Baiona!
0930 meet up time to join forces with Dave and Joyce for breakfast to plan out the
potential activities for this transition day as we move north towards our next
stop. As the Beskow’s had trouble circumnavigating around the metropolis of
Vigo Spain, they planned to stay on the back highways to avoid the morning’s
rush hour highway jam of vehicles on the interstate equivalent. Jane had wanted
to bend around the small part of the isla and the harbor of Vigo from the
Atlantic Ocean. However the turnoff Left was obscured and zoomed past as they
headed north. Well what about the GPS, Carmin claimed ignorance and spoke
nothing of assistance. In just 35 short miles we were entering Pontevedra and
began our search for the Parador. The Parador as it turns out is located inside
“the old town.” An old building with 8 narrow parking spots inside the tiny
courtyard. We got one, whoohoo!
Paul and I set off to
have lunch, after all it had only been 4 or 5 hours since we last ate. Found a
restaurant and sat down outside to enjoy salad and lomo and ribs. It was lovely
and warm and I believe the same gull who and harassed us in Baiona had followed
us up the coast to here where we had lunch!
